Veridian

Veridian is a planetary system orbiting a yellow G-class star.  The system lies in the Vulpecula Constellation of the Anser Region.

Veridian is a temperate, densely forested world, the majority of the planet's land areas are mountainous with deep valleys.  The contrast between the lower and higher elevation areas is striking, as climates, ecologies, and life forms vary greatly depending on the elevation.

The planet has strived for an ecological balance ever since its early days of colonization.  Sparsely populated regions are allowed to flourish in their native state, while urbanized areas are few and far between.  Nature reserves are common and make up a large portion of the planet's land masses.
