Promise

Promise is a planetary system orbiting a yellow g-class star in the Hyades Region.  The system contains a partially habitable world named Promise C.

Though the planet is habitable, Promise C is cold, ice covered world.  The planet's life is clustered in a narrow band around the equator warm enough for liquid water,  The first settlers were colonists exploring the nearby Hyades cluster.  Small villages scattered along green tundra in the equatorial coastal areas house the population.

Promise B
On paper Promise B looks like it could be a life bearing world, it orbits in the habitable zone, and is the right temperature for liquid water.  In reality the world is a lifeless rock under a thin carbon dioxide atmosphere.  An early impact after the planet's formation likely stripped away the majority of the planet's atmosphere and water.

Temp: 284 K

Mass: 0.27 Earth

Radius: 4820 km

Gravity: 0.48 g

Rotation: 38 hours

Promise C
Promise C is a cold world orbiting on the outside edge of the habitable zone.  The majority of the planet is covered in ice with a band of liquid water centered around the equator.  Fields of green tundra border the coastal areas.

Distance: 1.10 AU

Orbit: 422 days

Temp: 215 K

Mass: 0.76 Earth

Radius: 4055 km

Gravity: 0.62 g
