Praecipua

Praecipua is a planetary system orbiting a orange K-class star.  The system lies in the Leo Minor Constellation of the Inner/Sol Region.

The Pracecipua System consists of a gas giant that is orbited by a large, water covered moon.  Despite being the ideal temperature  for liquid water and life, the moon is sterilized by the radiation of the large, red giant sun.  The moon's ocean that covers the surface is highly acidic, and unable to support life even deep under the water, where life forms would be protected from the sun.

A small population has grown in the system, primarily in orbital cities around the large gas giant.  There is also numerous mining colonies located deep within the system's cold, outer dust belts.
