Fomalhaut

Fomalhaut is a planetary system orbiting a blue/white A-class star.  The system lies in the Piscis Austrinus Constellation of the Inner/Sol Region.

The most well known fact about the Fomalhaut system is it's planet was the first directly images by the Terrans.  A large gas giant that orbits on the outer fringes of the Fomalhaut System.

The young system is home to numerous asteroid and comet belts. Multiple Terran based companies attempted to mine the belts over the years, while they exported the minerals back to Earth. These mining projects came with various levels of success, though ultimately were never profitable enough for any long term developments.
