Bane

Bane is a planetary system orbiting a white/yellow F-class star.  The system lies in the Centaurus Constellation of the Acrux/Agena Region.

The primary planet of the Bane System had a very perilous history.  A highly infectious diseases struck the early settlers, piercing through their numbers.  Although the disease was typically not fatal, it left those infected permanently paralyzed or at least severely crippled.  With little assistance afterwards, those who survived the disease would still ultimately perish in high numbers.

Early communication from the colonies on Bane was primitive, they tried to reach out to Paentora for assistance and to warn future colonists, but their calls for help went unanswered.  This let waves of colonists to become infected.

Eventually a vaccine for the disease was devised, this allowed a large scale population to finally grow on the surface.  The vaccine must still be administered to anybody who wants to visit Bane.
