Ambrosia

Ambrosia is a 4 planet system orbiting an orange k-type star near the Hyades Cluster.

The primary planet is the second from the sun.  The planet was once believed to be top candidate for an interstellar colony.  Looks can be deceiving though, upon closer inspection the planets atmosphere contains large amounts of sulfur compounds, arsenic, and other poisonous gasses from a recent period of intense volcanic activity.  The only permanent human settlement on the planet are a few small enclosed colonies.

Despite an atmosphere that is deadly for humans to breath, the planet's surface is covered in mosses and algae and thrive in the conditions.

Ambrosia Planets

Ambrosia B
Planet B is a small world close to the sun.  Large deposits of magnesium can be found on the surface.  The planet is tidally locked to the star meaning that always the same side faces the sun.

Distance: 0.16 AU

Orbit: 27 days

Temp: 338 K

Mass: 0.11 Earth

Radius: 3125 km

Gravity: 0.43 g

Rotation: 27 Days

Ambrosia C
Ambrosia C was once believed to be top candidate for an interstellar colony, with a large ocean and a green continents.  Though looks can be deceiving, upon closer inspection the planets atmosphere contains large amounts of sulfur compounds, arsenic, and other poisonous gasses from a recent period of intense volcanic activity.  The only permanent human settlement on the planet are a few small enclosed colonies.  The planet's surface is covered in green mosses and algae and thrive in the conditions.

Radius: 4982 km

Gravity: 0.77 g

Rotation: 21 Hours

Ambrosia D
Planet D is a cold world outside the habitable zone.  The surface is composed of mostly water ice, with a dusting of sulfurous snow which gives the planet a yellow/orange tint.

Distance: 1.04 AU

Orbit: 431 Days

Temp: 181 K

Mass: 1.75 Earth

Radius: 6579 km

Gravity: 0.85 g

Rotation: 29 Hours

Ambrosia E
Fairly standard hydrogen helium gas giant orbiting at Jupiter like temperatures.  The atmosphere contains traces of neon and xenon gases giving a slight pinkish hue.

Distance: 4.00 AU

Orbit: 7.7 Years

Temp: 85 K

Mass: 0.82 Jupiter
