47 Ursae Majoris

 

47 Ursae Majoris is a planetary system orbiting a yellow G-class star.  The system lies in the Ursa Major Constellation of the Inner/Sol Region.

 
47 Ursae Majoris is home to a gas giant orbited by a group of moons, the lagest which contains a small population.  47 Ursae Majoris B's largest moon was first visited by a group of scientists who determined it was too cold, small, and insignificant to house any large-scale colonies or population.

 

47 Ursae Majoris continued to see limited groups of colonists travel to the system, even after the scientists abandoned it.  A number of remote basses were established on 47 Ursae Majoris B's largest moon.

47 Ursae Majoris B or Taphao Thong, is a large gas giant containing over 2.5 times Jupiter's mass.  47 Ursae Majoris B is orbited by a group of 12 icy moons.  The largest moon in the system is the location of a number of small, enclosed, human based settlements.

47 Ursae Majoris C or Taphao Kaek, is a medium sized gas giant containing over half of Jupiter's mass.  47 Ursae Majoris C is a common gas giant composed primarily of hydrogen and helium.
